As I am wondering around the world a little less at the moment I am really enjoying my home town and for the first time got to a chance to visit Open Cambridge. I had an amazing time and over two days visited eight places. One place I went was The Parker Library at Corpus Christi College where I took this picture.
In 1987 I photographed John Rylands Library as part of my Ordinary Places Series, and took one of my most successful pictures 'Book'. In that picture, like this one you cannot tell what the book is or where it was taken, but these books housed in these unbelievably important historical buildings are the finer details of these unique special collections.
