Neon Flamingo, photograph from Richard Heeps' Norfolk series.
The artwork is a powerful statement piece that exudes a sense of retro cool and playful nostalgia. It is a testament to Heeps', ability to find beauty in the overlooked details of the urban landscape, from the American roadside to the British coast.
The Kodak film border is a signature element of Heeps' work, which celebrates the aesthetic of traditional film photography. Richard's signature use of hyper-saturated color transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, with the rich blues of the evening sky and the dazzling, multi-hued lights of the sign below creating a captivating symphony of light and color.
This work would be a dynamic focal point in any contemporary space, adding a touch of bold color, personality, and cinematic flair. It is a perfect for the collector who appreciates fine photography, bold aesthetics, and the enduring allure of classic Americana reimagined through a uniquely British lens.
