This Roadside Giant is called 'Poor Richard', ironic really considering the artists' name, and the sad state of his headless torso. Poor Richard refers to the Almanack published by Benjamin Franklin between 1732-1758,  which was popular for its extensive use of wordplay and some of the witty phrases coined in the contemporary American vernacular. This broken cowboy is an iconic Muffler Man.
