This photograph features a lifebuoy hanging on a wire fence with Flood's Ferry Bridge in the background.  The lifebuoy represents and reflects the evening sun, whilst the viewer just sees the dark, storm filled clouds hanging in the sky behind.

This is a photograph from a collection of 36, born from an idea to produce a set of photographs that followed The Meridian Line and its route through Cambridgeshire, one for each minute of Latitude. The images would go through, over and under whatever came in the path of the camera’s lens and through the Fens would involve people and communities throughout Cambridgeshire, many in isolated locations.
