An ongoing subject of Richard's photography is the motel room. In this instance, photographed at the Lariat Motel in Fallon, Nevada. It is also often a significant location within American film and TV culture. For example, It is the backdrop for the iconic scene in the Hollywood film psycho. In this atmospheric image, the bed lights are joined together conveying a sense of coupling. The viewer is drawn over the bed to the illuminated picture that hangs above it, showing trees which echo the wooden panelled walls.

This artwork is a limited edition gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame made professionally in the UK. It is signed and numbered on reverse accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
