In January 2013 Richard flew to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, from there by train he traveled to Kolkata via Vijayawada, to Darjeeling and Delhi. From Delhi to Meerut, the birthplace of his Grandfather, a type of pilgrimage. He carried with him a heavy kit of camera gear, lifting his large Peli Case on and off Boats, Trains and Tuk-Tuks. He took some of his most successful pictures and longs to return to continue the project. In a time of globalisation incurring such change, he is keen to capture India while they still practice repair rather than replace.
