Shot on the streets of New York this piece is a representation of the powerful architecture of Manhattan. Taken in 2016 when Richard's eye was in a particularly abstract focus (see 'Streets of Saigon' & 'The Streets of Kowloon'), a stray from his more well known style of nostalgic Americana but not something new to him as he has done whole series' of abstract photography in 'Trading Paint', 2002, and 'Instant Pictures', 1993.
