Man’s Ruin | 2008-present, touring exhibition including The Spitz Gallery, The Photographers Lounge, Stockton Hall Museum, Norwich Arts Centre, Light House, 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, and Rochester Art Gallery. In 1997 Richard began documenting the celebration of 1950’s lifestyle in the modern era. Initially titled Rock’n’Roll, shown at Waterstones Gallery Cambridge and Norwich Arts Centre in 2000 it evolved to Man’s Ruin in 2003 when it gained support from Arts Council East to tour the UK beginning at Wrexham Arts Centre. His subsequent travels to America introduced an ‘Americana’ aspect and the book made in 2007 included the collections Dream in Colour, Bonneville, Burlesque, Drag Racing, Hot Heads East, A-Bombers, Trading Paint & After the Gold Rush. The exhibition amongst other places has shown at Ink_d, Brighton (2007), Preston Hall Museum (2008), Salford Museum (2009), Rochester Art Gallery (2013), Lomography Spitalfields (2013).
